An outbreak of E. coli poisoning has sickened at least 34 people in San Diego County, prompting two lawsuits against the companies that allegedly supplied contaminated lettuce served to customers at the Pat & Oscar's chain of restaurants. A Carlsbad high school student filed a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court on Wednesday against Gold Coast Produce, a Southern California company that packaged the lettuce, and Family Tree Produce of Anaheim, which distributed it.- Outbreak of E.
