Man Arrested in Powder-Mailing Case

Federal agents have arrested a Dallas man accused of mailing white powder to federal offices, a news release from the U.S. attorney's office said. Michael Wayne Patterson, 51, has a hearing set for Monday in federal court. Investigators continue to search for the person responsible for a string of other white-powder mailings that began Aug. 5. According to court documents filed Aug. 14, an envelope containing a plastic bag filled with white powder was delivered to an IRS facility in Austin. Read more...
