Driver Had BAC More Than Six Times Legal Limit

A man who reportedly had a blood-alcohol content of just over 0.54 — more than six times the legal limit — was found by police sitting in his car in the middle of an intersection Monday night. Police arrested 30-year-old Travis Hornback of Evansville for driving while intoxicated and several other traffic violations. Hornback was taken to Deaconess Hospital and was treated and released. According to Sgt. Mark Russler at the jail, suspects with a blood-alcohol level in excess of 0.3 are not booked into the jail. Read more...
