SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - An 82-year-old judge appointed to the bench in 1963 will come out of retirement to preside over the high profile Scott Peterson double-murder trial, court officials announced on Wednesday.
The new judge, Richard Arnason, is taking over the high-profile case because it is being moved from Peterson's hometown of Modesto in California's Central Valley to San Mateo County south of San Francisco.
