Witness Tells of Martha Stewart Call

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A "hurried and harsh" Martha Stewart called ImClone Systems Inc. the day of her suspicious stock trade and demanded to know what was happening at the biotech company, a former executive assistant testified in court on Monday. Emily Perret, ImClone founder Sam Waksal's onetime assistant, told jurors that Stewart called the company's offices in late December 2001 and ordered her to "Get Sam" in her normally abrupt tone of voice.
