Nursing home directors could be given immunity from prosecution under a new medical malpractice tort reform bill. Patients or family members suing nursing homes would not be able to name the director of the home in lawsuits when he is not responsible for the day-to-day care of the home's residence if legislation passed last month by the N.C.
