Regulations for Medical Malpractice Law in Limbo

Local physicians are still waiting for relief from a medical malpractice law signed by Gov. Calderon last December because the Insurance Commissioner’s Office hasn’t released the regulations for the law’s implementation, according to an insurance executive. Luis Rodriguez, president of insurance brokerage Vidal & Rodriguez, complained that the Insurance Commissioner’s Office has had ample time to come up with the regulations. Furthermore, the law was signed to go into effect immediately. Posted by Editor at November 3, 2003 10:34 AM
